Market Risk Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced candidate to join our team in a market risk data analysis role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of average daily traded volume (ADTV) data used in concentration risk and liquidity add-on calculations.

  • Analyze and verify ADTV time series data across various asset classes;
  • Identify spurious data points, such as spikes and gaps, and collaborate with stakeholders to remediate issues;
  • Interpret complex data sets, analyze results, and summarize findings into actionable insights for decision-makers;
  • Develop and implement data quality metrics and produce periodic key performance indicator (KPI) reports for stakeholders;
  • Onboard new ADTV sources to enhance accuracy in concentration risk calculation and reporting;
  • Participate in projects related to control enhancements for ADTV data quality, accuracy, and completeness;
  • Collaborate with technology teams to provide requirements for data sourcing and remediation projects, ensuring timely execution;
  • Oversee periodic audit processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience with statistical analysis, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong problem-solving skills. A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is required. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Python programming languages and professional certifications such as CFA/FRM.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, Finance, or relevant fields;
  • Experience with statistical analysis and large dataset manipulation;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with keen attention to detail;
  • Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
