Credit Risk, Data Governance & Model Validation (3–7 years experience)

We are currently supporting our client in India, a leading
Risk Analytics and Consulting Firm.

We are seeking an experienced data analyst to ensure data quality and governance in our credit risk functions. The role involves implementing robust data quality checks and data governance standards, performing credit risk analysis, and supporting model validation efforts.

You will use
SAS
and SQL to manipulate and analyze risk data, develop reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high data integrity.


Key Functions

Credit Risk Analytics:
Analyze credit portfolio data using SAS and SQL. Prepare detailed risk assessments and reports for retail and consumer lending portfolios.

Model Validation:
Demonstrate experience in validating credit risk models, including assessment of conceptual soundness, backtesting, and benchmarking against regulatory and business standards.

Data Governance and Quality:
Establish and enforce data governance policies across credit risk data. Conduct comprehensive data quality checks covering accuracy, completeness, null values, duplicates, and consistency. Define remediation processes and ensure proper data lineage and metadata management.


Expectations

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in
    Credit Risk, Data Governance/Data Quality, Model Validation
    .
  • Proficiency in
    SAS
    (macros, PROC, arrays, retain function).
  • Strong knowledge of
    SQL
    (window functions, ranking functions, joins).
  • Hands-on experience with
    model validation
    for PD/LGD/EAD models and familiarity with regulatory frameworks (IFRS9, Basel).
  • Strong understanding of
    data governance principles
    and practical implementation of data-quality frameworks.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present findings to business and regulatory stakeholders.
