Job Title: Healthcare Data Engineer – AI/ML Enablement

As a Healthcare Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing data solutions that drive automated workflows, bots, and AI Agents across legacy platforms.

About the Role:

  • Data Engineering: Design and implement scalable data architectures to support AI-driven analytics and automation.
  • AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with AI/ML teams to ensure seamless data preparation and alignment with project goals.
  • Automation: Develop efficient data handling workflows using scripting languages like Python.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data processes, transformations, and metadata.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, data governance, and security standards.

Requirements:

  • Healthcare Experience: Strong background in healthcare data engineering (claims, EHR, clinical datasets).
  • Data Skills: Proficiency in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction.
  • Healthcare Standards: Knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, HL7, FHIR).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, Python, and automation frameworks for data workflows.
  • Integration Experience: Hands-on experience integrating data from multiple healthcare systems and vendors.
  • Cloud Solutions: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure's healthcare cloud, and Google Cloud Healthcare.
  • APIs: Familiarity with APIs that provide scalable infrastructure for data storage, processing, and compliance with healthcare regulations, like HIPAA.
  • Payer Platforms: Knowledge of specialized payer platforms, such as Apixio, Veracyte, and Health Catalyst.
  • Enterprise Integration Platforms: Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms, like Mulesoft, Informatica, and Talend.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent collaboration skills and ability to partner with AI/ML teams.
  • Understanding of Compliance: Strong understanding of data governance, HIPAA compliance, and audit documentation.
