About the Role

Ampere is seeking a highly skilled MCU Design Verification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Design Verification team, you will be responsible for verifying the DDR5 memory controller and physical interface designs with the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop complex test plans and drive the implementation and execution of the same across block level and SoC level test bench implementations.
  • Partner with the architecture and design teams to ensure the highest quality of the DDR5 memory controller and physical interface designs.
  • Drive the closure of the verification cycle across x-prop, power-aware and gate level simulations.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of high-performance microprocessor architecture and complex server SoCs.
  • Strong fundamentals of Cache coherence protocols.
  • Understanding of industry standard DDR4/DDR5 protocols.
  • Good verification experience, adept at UVM verification methodologies.
  • Development experience in languages common to the industry (e.g. Verilog, System Verilog, C, C++, Perl, Python).
  • Exposure to different verification techniques such as x-prop, power-aware simulations.
  • Understanding of gate level simulations.
  • Strong fundamentals of Cache coherence protocols, computer architecture.
  • Exposure to AMBA/AXI protocols and coherent fabric interconnect will be desired.

Education & Experience

  • BS / MS in electrical engineering, computer science, information technology or a related technical field with 5+ years of hardware verification experience.
