About the Role:

The ideal candidate will lead a high-impact team building the foundational platform within payroll organization, enabling critical flows around payroll processing, approvals, corrections, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of passionate software engineers who pride themselves on ownership and impact
  • Driving on-time, high-quality product delivery and adoption of engineering best practices
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to shape the future of payroll architecture
  • Helping the organization scale and grow with the business by attracting and growing top talent
  • Empowering engineers to take ownership of projects, guiding them from initial product requirements through launch
  • Maintaining a commitment to elevating engineering standards within the team and organization
  • Providing mentorship and opportunities for professional growth and success

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience using modern backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin, C++) for APIs and batch jobs
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals for mentoring engineers
  • Previous experience managing the complete project lifecycle and transforming ideas into successful launches
  • Demonstrated product sense and capacity for clear communication across diverse teams
