Position Summary:

The Vice President of Strategy will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the company's strategic plans. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring the company's long-term success in a highly competitive automotive industry. The VP of Strategy will work closely with the executive team to align strategic objectives with the company's vision and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Lead the formulation of the company's long-term strategy, aligning with market trends and business goals.
    • Identify growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets, including product diversification and geographic expansion.
    • Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
      • Business Development:
        • Drive the exploration of new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
        • Lead initiatives to enter new markets, launch new products, and enhance the company's market positioning.
        • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures to support strategic growth.
          • Market Analysis and Forecasting:
            • Conduct in-depth market research to anticipate industry shifts and emerging trends.
            • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict market demand, competitive dynamics, and growth potential.
            • Provide strategic insights to the executive team based on data-driven analysis.
              • Operational Alignment:
                • Collaborate with various departments to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated into operational plans.
                • Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
                • Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
                  • Leadership and Team Management:
                    • Lead and mentor the strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
                    • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams involved in strategic projects.
                    • Ensure that the strategy team is equipped with the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives.
                      • Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
                        • Develop and manage budgets for strategic initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
                        • Analyze the financial impact of strategic decisions and provide recommendations to optimize profitability.
                        • Present strategic plans and financial forecasts to the board of directors and stakeholders.
                          • Stakeholder Engagement:
                            • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and industry associations.
                            • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote the company's strategic vision.
                            • Communicate strategic plans and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in strategic roles, preferably within the automotive industry or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful business strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
