Job Summary:-

We are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, managing, and optimizing MySQL databases for high-performance applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of data solutions with business needs.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:

Design and Development :

  • Develop, manage, and maintain MySQL databases ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Write complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers to meet application requirements.
  • Perform database design (schema) and data modelling based on project requirements.

Optimization and Tuning :

  • Monitor and optimize query performance, indexing, and replication.
  • Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution related to database performance.
  • Ensure high availability of the database through replication and failover mechanisms.

Database Security and Backup :

  • Implement best practices for database security, including user management, permissions, and encryption.
  • Design and manage backup/recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Conduct database audits and performance tuning regularly.

Collaboration :

  • Work closely with developers to assist in database design and query optimization.
  • Collaborate with system administrators to ensure smooth operation of the database in production environments.

Documentation and Reporting :

  • Create and maintain database documentation, including data flow diagrams and system architecture.
  • Prepare reports on database performance and data integrity metrics.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in MySQL database development and management.
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL (version 5.7 and above).
  • Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and relational concepts.
  • Expertise in writing efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with MySQL replication, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Proficiency with backup and recovery solutions for MySQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments and MySQL command-line utilities.
  • Good understanding of indexing strategies and query execution plans.



OPTIONAL but DESIRABLE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of cloud infra
  • BI tools like power BI, Tablue etc
  • Functional domain knowledge of FinTech, lending, LMS/LOS.


SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.


Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
