Job OverviewThe role of a Strategic Portfolio Manager involves overseeing and managing governance frameworks, ensuring compliance across all projects and programs.Leads the development of portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports using advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros/VBA, complex formulas) and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).Drives data analysis and trend identification to support strategic decision-making and resource optimization.Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for projects and programs.Facilitates executive governance meetings, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Mentors and coaches PMO analysts and project coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence.Collaborates with delivery teams to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.Continuously refines PMO processes for efficiency and scalability.Requirements5+ years of experience in PMO, program management, or portfolio governance roles.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros/VBA, complex modeling, and automation).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).Experience in financial management for projects (budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred.
