About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced professional to lead enterprise-level data governance initiatives across multiple business domains.Establish and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.Facilitate business workshops to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models.Set up and formalize the Data Governance Council, documenting charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborate with technical teams to implement governance controls using specialized tools and platforms.Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.ResponsibilitiesThis role involves:Designing, implementing, and institutionalizing data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.Conducting business workshops with enterprise clients to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models.Helping set up and formalize the Data Governance Council, including documenting charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborating with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Implementing and monitoring AI governance principles to ensure compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Strong experience in data governance, data management, or information governance within enterprise environments.Proven ability to conduct governance business workshops and translate outcomes into actionable governance models.Experience in establishing and operationalizing governance councils and defining data ownership structures.Hands-on exposure to governance tools and technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Deep understanding of Microsoft's Security and Compliance Framework and its relevance to data governance.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated experience working across multiple industries such as Real Estate, Retail, E-Commerce, Investment, Hospitality, and Government.Minimum 1 year of experience in AI governance, understanding how governance principles extend to AI/ML models, data lineage, and responsible AI practices.Preferred QualificationsThe following qualifications are desirable:8–12 years of total experience with at least 4–5 years in data governance.Certifications in data governance, data management (DAMA, DCAM, CDMP), or Microsoft Data/AI certifications are an advantage.Experience working with cloud ecosystems, preferably Microsoft Azure.Excellent presentation and client engagement skills.BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package, health benefits, and opportunities for growth and development.
