This role involves implementing automated systems to streamline purchasing, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transport solutions. The coordinator will collaborate closely with the technology team for system upgrades and enhancements but not directly interact with transporters.Job DutiesIssue purchase orders to transporters based on received quotes.Develop and implement automated systems for transport purchase management.Monitor and update sheets to track transporter quotes and allocations.Review and finalise transporter quotes upon completion of the bidding process.Coordinate with the technology team for system upgrades and improvements.Ensure all purchase orders are processed through the automated system without direct Coordination with the Transport Relationship Assistant Manager (TRAM).Efficiently issue and manage transport purchase orders.Accurate and timely updates to transport quote sheets.Effective collaboration with the technology team for system enhancements.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly G-Suite.Experience with automated systems and software development processes is advantageous.Experience RequiredKnowledgeMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or transport industry.Proficiency in using automated/application systems to manage purchase orders.Prepare the Monthly Information System (MIS).Understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.Knowledge of route planning and optimisation techniques.Awareness of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.Basic understanding of financial principles related to transportation costs and budgeting.Coordinate with the tech team for upgradation.AttributesStrong analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.Strong organisational skills and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.Decision-making skills.Adaptability to changing circumstances and operational needs.Customer service orientation with a focus on meeting deadlines and service standards.SkillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Coordination and scheduling of transportation activities.Negotiation skills for vendor management and contract agreements.Data analysis and reporting capabilities.Time management and ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), G-Suite and TMS applications.Attention to DetailPerks and Benefits:Competitive salary.We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes leave encashment, bonus, etc.There are opportunities for career advancement within the organisation.Ongoing training and development programs.Number of Vacancies: 1 Start Date: Immediately
