HR Generalist – Operations

Location: Work From Office – Kondapur, HyderabadExperience: 2+ years (startup experience is a big plus)Work Schedule: 5 – 6 days/week (depending on business needs)Team Size: ~150 employeesAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on HR Generalist who can own day-to-day HR operations and talent acquisition in a fast-growing startup. This is a doer role, not a policy-only role. You’ll work closely with leadership, support teams, and help build a strong, people-first culture.If you’re someone who enjoys execution, ownership, and working in a dynamic environment—this role is for you.What You’ll Do Employee Lifecycle ManagementManage end-to-end onboarding (offer letters, ID cards, asset allocation, etc.)Handle exits, resignations, terminations, absconding, and disciplinary casesMaintain employee records and HR documentationPayroll & CompensationProcess monthly payroll, attendance, and leave dataCalculate and manage incentives and payoutsCoordinate with finance for salary disbursementResolve payroll-related queries and correctionsHR Policies & ComplianceImplement and communicate HR policies clearlyConduct HR policy sessions for new and existing employeesEnsure policy adherence across teamsHandle employee grievances and resolve conflicts professionallyEmployee Engagement & CulturePlan and execute team activities, festivals, and engagement initiativesWork with leadership to build a positive office cultureDrive retention and employee engagement effortsOffice & Asset ManagementManage office assets (laptops, accessories, ID cards, access)Track asset allocation and recoveryCoordinate with admin teams and vendors when requiredHR Operations SupportBe the go-to person for employee HR queriesSupport managers with HR-related decisionsAssist with audits, reports, and internal reviewsTalent AcquisitionSupport hiring across teams - Product, tech, leadership, sales, supportCoordinate interviews and follow the hiring process with managersWhat We’re Looking ForStrong hands-on experience in HR operations with experience in talent acquisitionGood understanding of startup work cultureClear communication and strong people-handling skillsAbility to handle sensitive issues and conflicts with maturityOrganized, detail-oriented, and proactiveComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentPreferred QualificationsGraduate / Postgraduate in HR or ManagementPrior startup or high-growth company experienceHands-on experience with payroll and incentive managementCan communicate in multiple south indian languagesWhy Join Praja?Work closely with leadershipChance to build and improve HR processes from scratch - high ownership & real impactFast learning and growth in a scaling startup
