Job Overview:The Senior Programmer II plays a pivotal role in providing programming support across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas within the statistics and programming department.This involves manipulating large databases and generating reports to empower analysts in exploring real-world healthcare data assets.The candidate must possess exceptional SAS and SQL programming skills and the ability to implement complex logic.Candidates are expected to be comfortable with creating intricate analysis data sets derived from multiple data sources while exercising caution with outliers and errors.Prior experience in building patient cohorts and evaluating patient healthcare events in large databases, as well as utilizing observational research methods such as epidemiology and statistical methods, is highly desirable.The team primarily supports rare diseases; thus, experience in this area is advantageous but not mandatory.Real World Healthcare claims database experience is essential, and equivalent EU database experience to US Market scan/Optum is acceptable.OMOP-Common data model experience is highly valued, even if it's just 1 year of experience.Strong communication, time management, enthusiasm, and documentation skills are imperative for success in this position.Key Responsibilities:Effectively lead internal and client study team meetingsPresent study updates both internally and at client meetingsShare scientific, technical, and practical knowledge within the team and with colleaguesPerform work in full compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, company policies, procedures, and trainingEstablish effective collaborative working relationships with internal and client team membersSeek opportunities to develop innovative ideas and share them when appropriateProvide line management or mentorship to more junior team membersContribute to the development of internal training materialsSupport internal process improvement initiatives
