Key Responsibilities

1. Pricing Strategy and Execution:

 Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with business goals to maximize

profitability and market share.

 Lead the creation and refinement of pricing models and frameworks to evaluate product

and service pricing across multiple channels.

 Partner with product, sales, and marketing teams to implement pricing changes

effectively.

2. Price Optimization and Scenario Analysis:

 Leverage advanced pricing analytics techniques to identify opportunities for revenue

growth and margin improvement.

 Design and implement price elasticity models and scenario-based pricing simulations to

assess potential outcomes.

 Ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, balancing competitive positioning with

profitability objectives.

3. Market and Competitive Intelligence:

 Conduct comprehensive market research to track competitor pricing, customer

preferences, and industry trends.

 Provide actionable insights based on competitor benchmarking and customer

segmentation analyses.

 Monitor and report on the impact of market dynamics on pricing strategies.

4. Data Analysis and Business Insights:

 Analyze large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights for decision-making.

 Create dynamic reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to

communicate pricing performance to stakeholders.

 Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data inputs used for pricing models.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration and Training:

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and marketing, to

ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.


 Act as a pricing subject matter expert and provide mentorship to junior analysts on

pricing methodologies and tools.

 Prepare and deliver presentations for senior leadership, articulating findings and

recommendations clearly and concisely.

6. Process Improvement and Best Practices:

 Continuously refine and improve pricing processes, methodologies, and tools.

 Stay updated on emerging trends in pricing analytics, price optimization software, and

market dynamics to ensure a competitive edge.

 Develop guidelines and best practices for pricing consistency and accuracy across the

organization.


Qualifications and Skills

Must-Have:

 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Data

Science, or related fields. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

 Experience: Minimum of 6 years in pricing analysis, pricing optimization, or a related

field.

 Technical Proficiency:

o Expertise in pricing analytics and optimization techniques.

o Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.

o Strong knowledge of pricing software and revenue management tools.


Added Advantage:

 Experience with Power BI or Tableau for creating business consumption-ready

dashboards and visualizations.

 Exposure to advanced pricing methodologies such as dynamic pricing or algorithmic

pricing.

 Certifications in data analytics, price optimization, or visualization tools.

Soft Skills:

 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Strong communication and presentation abilities to articulate complex data insights to

non-technical stakeholders.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
