Job Description:

We seek an experienced and data-driven Category Manager to lead the home improvement categories at V Assure Wholesale Pvt Ltd. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail and category management, market knowledge, and excellent supplier relationship skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Category Strategies: Formulate and execute strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and market share across Electric, Sanitary, Plumbing, Hardware, Wooden Material, Paint, and other home improvement products.
  • Product & Pricing Management: Oversee product assortment, pricing strategies, promotions, and merchandising.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on inventory and product selection.
  • Supplier Management: Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate to secure quality products and favorable terms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Performance Optimization: Regularly review category performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Product Development: Identify new product opportunities based on market demand.
  • Promotions & Inventory Management: Develop pricing, promotional activities, and inventory management strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of category management, merchandising, or retail experience in Electric, Sanitary, Plumbing, Hardware, Wooden Material, or Paint.
  • Strong analytical skills and data proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in home improvement or retail industry.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel retailing strategies.
