Job Summary:

The General Manager - Exports Sales will be responsible for driving international business growth by expanding Cosmos Pumps' market presence in key global regions, with special focus on GEC Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, and Russia. The role demands strategic leadership, market penetration initiatives, and relationship management to achieve targeted sales volumes and revenue growth in the B2B industrial machinery sector.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Export Sales Strategy Development:

o Develop and implement export sales strategies to achieve business targets in designated regions.

o Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify growth opportunities.


2. Market Expansion:

o Lead efforts to establish and strengthen partnerships in GEC Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, and Russia.

o Identify and develop a robust network of distributors, agents, and channel partners.

o Leverage market insights to expand Cosmos Pumps' industrial machinery product portfolio in international markets.


3. Sales Performance Management:

o Drive export sales volume and meet assigned sales targets through strategic planning and execution. 

o Manage pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and order execution to ensure profitability.

o Monitor and evaluate sales team performance, ensuring adherence to KPIs.


4. Customer Relationship Management:

o Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and decision-makers. 

o Resolve customer queries, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery and support services.


5. Team Leadership and Development:

o Lead, mentor, and motivate the export sales team to achieve collective and individual goals. 

o Train team members on industrial machinery products, market insights, and sales techniques.


6. Operational Coordination:

o Collaborate with production, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure smooth export operations. 

o Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, documentation, and shipping requirements.


7. Business Reporting and Analysis:

o Prepare and present detailed business performance reports to the Chief Sales Officer.

o Provide region-specific market feedback to influence product development and pricing strategies.


8. Product Knowledge and Promotion:

o Possess in-depth knowledge of Cosmos Pumps' industrial machinery products and their applications. 

o Drive product promotion and awareness campaigns in targeted international markets.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in B2B export sales (10-22 years) within the mechanical/industrial machinery sector.
  • Strong understanding of international markets, trade practices, and export processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage global clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in export documentation, trade compliance, and logistics coordination.
  • Target-driven mindset with the ability to manage large-scale projects.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to international markets.


Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field preferred).
  • MBA or PG in International Business/Marketing will be an added advantage.


Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in international B2B sales and exports.
  • Previous exposure to GEC regions: Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, and Russia.
  • Experience in selling industrial pumps, mechanical equipment, or industrial machinery.
