THG is seeking Product Managers for its digital products. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about driving growth and usage of our digital news products. To be successful in this role, you must be able to transform a deep empathy of a user’s needs & wants into great customer experiences, to think tactically and strategically, to manage deep cross-functional collaboration and methodical execution.

What will you do?


· Drive high-quality user growth and engagement for The Hindu’s Android and iOS apps.


· Understand your user’s needs, pains, and wants with respect to online news media consumption.


· Work closely with the Editorial, Monetization (Subscriptions & Advertising), Marketing, SEO and Technology teams to build excellent products to address these wants and achieve business objectives.


· Work closely with product leadership for devising product strategy from ideation to design, development, testing & launch of new features.


The ideal candidate


· B.E./B.Tech or MBA from a reputed university or relevant entrepreneurial experience.


· 1-2 years of overall experience, with experience in product roles driving user growth/engagement for app-based products.


· Excellent problem-solving skills with a good eye for detail.


· You love data, and you let data speak for you


· Strong people skills and the ability to influence people to get things done.


· Cares about the role media plays in civil society.


· This opening is in Chennai. Hence, the role is for those candidates who are in Chennai or those who are willing to relocate to Chennai.
