We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead for our food technology projects in Bihar, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and technology, as well as a proven track record of successful project management. You will be responsible for leading and managing projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all project objectives are met on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management:


  • Lead the planning, implementation, and tracking of food technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, marketing, and sales to ensure project success.
  • Identify project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure all project deliverables are completed on time.


Team Leadership:


  • Oversee and mentor a team of food technologists, quality control specialists, and production staff.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.


Product Development:


  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and optimize food products, ensuring they meet market demands and consumer preferences.
  • Work closely with marketing, procurement, and production teams to align product development with business objectives.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:


  • Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to implement and maintain food safety protocols and standards (e.g., FSSAI, ISO).
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all products comply with local and national regulations.


Stakeholder Management:


  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, and clients.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.


Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the project scope.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact project outcomes.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food science and technology, including food processing and preservation techniques.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing project budgets and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
