SEPAM is seeking to appoint a results-oriented Business Development Manager

Sepam is a Global EPC company that has over 45 years’ experience working on major projects in the United States, Europe, The Middle East & Asia. We specialize in projects in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Renewables, Life Science, Pharmaceutical, Advanced Manufacturing & Data Centre markets.

Reporting to Indian Head the successful applicant will take the lead responsibility for developing opportunities in program and project management. The primary task will be to build relationships with the company’s potential clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their program and project development needs, The Business Development Manager will work with a designated team to take opportunities from initial identification through to contract award.

Our target market is India, covering all the states of India therefore the ability to travel will be required. The position is based in Chennai.

Qualification- MBA / PGDBA From a reputed Business school.

Responsibilities: -

- Responsible for business development of Engineering Services and contracting of new projects and new customers in for knowledge process outsourcing in India and abroad.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport quickly then develop long-term relationships with the potential to generate high quality business opportunities.
- A self-starter who is able to work with minimum supervision when interfacing with clients but who is also able to work with a pursuit team to develop complex bids.
- Well-developed commercial acumen enabling the most attractive opportunities to be identified and then shaped by influencing the client’s thinking.
- Excellent in negotiating pricing, contractual terms and conditions, draft proposals in consensus with delivery/operations/technical teams to win opportunities and close large deals.
- In-depth knowledge of Project and Project Management with established key contacts among potential clients and partners at the senior management level.
- Previous positions are likely to have provided a broad range of Government and/or private sector Project and Project Management experience (i.e. multi-sector).
- A good understanding of typical contract terms and an appreciation of the associated technical and commercial risk/reward profile.
- Several years’ experience in business development with a demonstrable track record of successfully securing profitable contracts.
- Excellent negotiation inter-personal skills with a demonstrated history of over-achieving targets.
- Regular follow-ups closures with prospects
- Strong campaign management skills; experience of documenting lead generation activities maintaining CRM
- Analyse and identify opportunities to secure new businesses from the customer base and optimize profit and increase revenues.
- Analyse markets to obtain latest trends, customer needs, competitors position and depth of customer base to re-design marketing strategy
- Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirement, potential and financial; evaluating options resolving internal priorities.

Skills & Education:-

- 10-12 years of experience in Business Development.
- Any Engineering Degree preferably with MBA
- Must have pursued Business degree from a reputed business school.
- Should be good in the team management, setting up project team from the scratch and ability to manage vendor/partner as per the project requirement.
- Should have good communication skills, both oral and written in English.
- Fluency and presentation skills.
- Ability to relate with customers of different nationalities and with internal verticals.
- Willingness to travel to Client/ Partner locations whenever required,
