Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Leader to drive growth through the acquisition of high-value projects across multiple industries. This role demands a strategic thinker with a track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing large-scale projects that align with our company’s vision. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, with expertise in lead generation, client engagement, and deal structuring to secure substantial, impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Value Project Acquisition: Identify and secure high-value projects that align with the company’s strategic growth goals, managing the entire acquisition lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their project needs and aligning them with our capabilities.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct detailed market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for expansion across various sectors.
- Proposal Development & Strategic Presentation: Develop compelling proposals, project plans, and presentations, effectively communicating value propositions to prospective clients.
- Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with high-impact clients, industry leaders, and partners to foster collaboration and drive new project opportunities.
- Revenue & Sales Goals: Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual targets for project acquisition, contributing directly to the company’s revenue growth.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with project management, finance, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Required Skills and Tools
- Sales & CRM Tools: Expertise in Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM software to manage and track high-value leads and sales progress.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of closing substantial deals.
- Market Intelligence Tools: Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Crunchbase to identify leads and perform market research.
- Data & Financial Analysis Tools: Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI for financial modeling, project valuation, and data-driven insights.
- Project Management Software: Experience with Asana, Trello, or Jira for effective collaboration and tracking progress on complex projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Broad understanding of high-value sectors such as finance, healthcare, technology, and infrastructure, and familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting these industries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in business development with a focus on high-value project acquisition and client engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and secure high-impact projects.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
