We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level system software on IBM mainframe environments.The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining z/os and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS). They will also manage system updates, PTFs, APARs using SMPE, ensuring system stability and compatibility across releases.Key responsibilities include:System Installation, Maintenance & Upgrades:Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain z/os and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS).Manage system updates, PTFs, APARs using SMPE.Ensure system stability and compatibility across releases.Performance Tuning & Capacity Planning:Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance.Tune WLM, sysplex, and critical components.Conduct capacity planning and recommend hardware upgrades.Security & Compliance:Administer RACF and enforce security policies.Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA.Apply security patches and mitigate vulnerabilities.Storage & Backup Management:Manage DFSMS, VSAM, HSM, and storage tools.Oversee backups, DR, and high-availability solutions.Optimize disk and tape storage usage.Incident Management & Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve system abends and bottlenecks.Analyze dumps, logs, and traces for root cause.Work with IBM support and vendors on complex issues.Automation & Scripting:Develop automation using Rexx, JCL, CLIST, Ansible.Improve monitoring, job scheduling, and efficiency.Automate repetitive tasks to streamline processes.Disaster Recovery & High Availability:Implement and test DR plans for business continuity.Maintain parallel sysplex and failover configurations.Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:Maintain technical documentation and best practices.Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
