About the Role We are looking for a high-energy, scale-driven Head of Retail Sales (NSM) who loves being in the market, building teams, and shaping fast-growth retail networks. Our products are currently available in 1,500+ stores across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Our next big leap is bold: scale to 1.5 lakh stores across South India in the next three years. This role is for someone who gets excited by that kind of challenge someone who loves to build from the front, has deep South India market knowledge, and thrives in high-growth, execution-first environments. Key Responsibilities Fully own the Retail Sales P&L across General Trade, Modern Trade, and Standalone Modern Trade (SAMT). Lead, coach, and scale a 25–30 member sales team including RMs, ASMs, FSIs, and KAMs. Drive expansion from 1,500 to 1.5 lakh stores through strong distribution planning, partnerships, and execution discipline. Strengthen distributor and stockist networks to boost availability, fill rates, and range selling. Deliver consistent primary & secondary sales growth, outlet expansion, and in-market visibility. Align closely with Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance on schemes, inventory flow, and cost efficiency. Track and drive core KPIs: revenue, outlet coverage, productivity, trade spend ROI, and team performance. Recruit, train, and motivate field teams to maintain high execution standards and discipline. Build smooth coordination between GT, MT, SAMT, and Quick Commerce to drive unified growth in the market. Requirements 10+ years of FMCG / Consumer Sales experience with at least 3–4 years in a regional or national leadership role. Proven experience in scaling distribution networks — from a few thousand to tens of thousands of outlets. Deep understanding of South India markets, especially Tamil Nadu and Kerala (mandatory). Demonstrated P&L ownership, strong business judgment, and cost–growth balance. Excellent distributor management, trade relationships, and negotiation ability. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on sales metrics, productivity levers, and profitability. Willingness to travel up to 50% across South India. Fluency in Tamil; knowledge of Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada is a strong advantage.
