Procurement Lead - Solar

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Solar Procurement Lead to manage the sourcing and procurement of materials for our solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization within the renewable energy sector. This role is critical to ensuring that all materials and services required for solar projects are sourced at the best possible price, delivered on time, and meet our stringent quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers of solar components such as photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical equipment.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire procurement process from supplier selection, order placement, and inventory management to delivery coordination for solar projects.
  • Cost Optimization: Conduct thorough cost analyses and negotiations to achieve the best price while ensuring the reliability and quality of materials.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., delays, cost fluctuations, supplier reliability) and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure that materials meet technical specifications and are delivered on schedule to avoid project delays.
  • Sustainable Sourcing: Promote sustainability by working with vendors that adhere to ethical practices and source environmentally friendly materials.
  • Procurement Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, supplier evaluations, and cost analyses, and regularly report on procurement performance to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing, with a focus on the solar or renewable energy industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree Or Master's Degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices, with experience sourcing from environmentally responsible suppliers


Salary : 4 - 6 LPA


Experience: 4 - 6 years
