Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and creative PR Specialist to manage and enhance our brand image while driving positive media coverage and building strong stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will be skilled at crafting compelling narratives, managing media inquiries, and executing strategic PR campaigns that align with business goals. This role demands exposure to the US PR market, requiring expertise in media dynamics, culturally relevant communications, and market-specific PR strategies. Strong capabilities in business content writing, IT services and customer experience awards submissions, and PR drafting are essential.


Key Responsibilities

PR Strategy: Develop and implement IT services-focused PR strategies to amplify the company’s brand and offerings, with a special focus on the US market.

Content Creation: Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and business content tailored to the global audiences.

Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers, particularly within the US market.

Awards Submissions: Strategically draft and submit entries for IT services and customer experience awards to boost the company’s global reputation.

Insights and Reporting: Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing actionable insights to leadership, including market-specific reports.

Media Engagement: Handle media inquiries and prepare spokespersons for interviews, ensuring relevance to the US audience.

Collaboration: Work with marketing, social media, and content teams to ensure consistent messaging across geographies.

Event Support: Enhance visibility during global events, webinars, and conferences, with a focus on US-driven PR opportunities.

Industry Trends: Stay updated on global industry trends, particularly in the US market, and proactively identify PR opportunities.

Crisis Communication: Manage and mitigate crisis communications with consistent and transparent messaging tailored for a global audience.


Required Skills

Exceptional Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills (samples of write-ups required).

Tech-Savvy: Strong understanding of IT services and ability to create technology-focused content.

Proven Expertise: Track record of successful PR campaigns and media coverage, especially in the US (references needed).

Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of US PR market dynamics, media landscape, and audience preferences.

Business Writing: Expertise in drafting award-winning business content, award submissions, and impactful PR communications.

Digital Tools: Proficiency in digital PR tools and platforms; hands-on experience with GenAI tools for PR and content creation.

Problem-solving: Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

Team Dynamics: Collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Engineering background will have an added advantage.

Experience: 1-2 years in PR, media relations, or a similar role, with demonstrable experience in the US PR market and business content writing.
