Strategic Risk Management LeaderOur organization seeks an experienced leader to drive strategic risk management initiatives across the enterprise.Job Summary:The Strategic Risk Management Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of risk management policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.Drive the implementation of a risk-based culture that fosters operational excellence and resilience across all business lines.Oversee the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), ensuring it is aligned with enterprise risk strategy and regulatory expectations.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement preventive and corrective controls to minimize operational risks.Develop and maintain Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and dashboards to monitor emerging risks and provide timely risk reporting to senior management.Lead risk assessments and scenario analysis exercises to identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.Stakeholder Engagement:Cultivate partnerships with regulators and industry groups to influence policy development and risk management best practices.Act as a trusted advisor to business units on operational risk matters, providing guidance on risk management practices and influencing strategic decisions.Continuous Improvement:Drive the integration of technology and data analytics to enhance decision-making capabilities and streamline operational risk processes.Spearhead initiatives that improve client experiences through operational excellence and risk management innovation.Leadership and Development:Foster a high-performing team by mentoring and developing talent within the risk management function.Promote a strong risk culture across the organization through training, awareness campaigns, and active engagement.Key Qualifications:Minimum 15+ years of senior leadership experience in operational risk, resilience, or a related domain within global financial services.Proven ability to influence and implement strategic changes that enhance enterprise risk frameworks and operational resilience.Strong executive presence with the capability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and foster key relationships.Strong understanding of Basel II/III/IV, local regulatory frameworks, and banking operations.Proven ability to influence across all levels of the organization.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with regulators and internal stakeholders.
