Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile/UI Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and executing automation scripts for mobile applications using tools like Cucumber, Appium, JavaScript, and WebDriverIO. This role involves working closely with development and testing teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications through efficient test automation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium, WebDriverIO, and Cucumber.
  • Implement and execute tests for UI, functional, regression, and performance testing of mobile apps across various devices and platforms (iOS/Android).
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA engineers to identify test cases and requirements for automation.
  • Create and maintain robust test scripts that ensure high test coverage and identify defects early in the development cycle.
  • Analyze test results and report defects, working with developers to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve the test automation framework and processes to ensure the scalability and reliability of the testing system.
  • Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in mobile testing and automation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Appium for automating mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in Cucumber for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and writing Gherkin-based test scenarios.
  • Expertise in JavaScript for writing automation scripts and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with WebDriverIO for creating UI automation scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab for continuous integration and automated testing.
  • Experience with mobile testing on both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architectures and automation best practices.
  • Good understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
