We are seeking an experienced ESG Auditor to join our sustainability and compliance team. The role involves conducting supplier audits focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, assessing supplier risks, and ensuring alignment with international standards, client requirements, and internal frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supplier assessments, ESG data collection, and audit reporting, with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site and remote supplier ESG audits, covering environmental practices, labor and human rights, health & safety, ethics, and governance.
  • Evaluate suppliers' compliance with international standards (GRI, SASB, ISO 14001/45001, UNGC, SA8000, etc.) and client-specific codes of conduct.
  • Perform risk-based assessments to identify ESG gaps, red flags, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review supplier documents such as policies, certifications, permits, and ESG disclosures for authenticity and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, ratings, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Support suppliers in building corrective action plans (CAPs) and monitor implementation progress.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sustainability, and compliance teams to integrate ESG considerations into supplier selection and evaluation processes.
  • Stay updated on ESG regulations, reporting frameworks, and sector-specific sustainability requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in supplier audits, ESG assessments, sustainability consulting, or compliance.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks: GRI, SASB, UNGC, ISO standards, SDGs, OECD Guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and sector-specific ESG risks (manufacturing, textiles, automotive, chemicals, etc.).
  • Experience with audit methodologies, risk assessment tools, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare professional audit reports.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Power BI/ESG audit platforms for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recognized auditor certification (e.g., ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor, SA8000 Auditor, SMETA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in third-party supplier audits or with global supply chain audit programs.
  • Familiarity with ESG data platforms, digital audit tools, or sustainability reporting software.
  • Ability to conduct multi-country audits and willingness to travel if required.
