Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. Business Overview:

Global Markets (GM) Powai team is an extension of regional Global Markets (Front Office) teams supporting Equities, Securitized Products, Rates, FX, and Credit. The division in Powai provides support for a range of activities like research, quantitative modelling, sales and trading support, pricing and balancing, product development and strategy. Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business. The Business Management / CAO team in Mumbai is a key business unit within the GM division. It houses a number of extended teams for various regional functions such as AEJ & EMEA GM Business Management, GM Digital Office (GMDO) CAO, Client Account Management and Strategy (CAMS), GM Control Office (GMCO), International Wealth Management (IWM) BM & Control Office, and Senior Relationship Management (SRM). All the sub teams are an integral part of the broader Business Management / CAO/ respective teams with their principal centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, New York and Mumbai. This particular role is within the Asia ex Japan (AeJ) SRM. The AEJ SRM is a client coverage team for the strategic accounts of Nomura’s Global Markets business in Asia ex Japan. The teams acts as the ‘voice of Nomura’ to clients and the clients’ voice to Nomura. The team’s reach is multi product, regional and global in nature.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the existing AeJ Senior Management (SRM) as a Team Lead. The team is part of the broader Business Management unit based in Powai, Mumbai.
  • With a core focus on Client Strategy & Analytics, the Powai SRM team works closely with regional counterparts in AeJ, EMEA and with the AEJ Head of SRM on strategic projects across a wide spectrum, aimed at client widening and deepening of overall client engagement.
  • The individual will Work with the Senior Relationship Management team in AEJ (Asia ex Japan), supporting the AEJ Head of SRM.
  • Adopt the team’s distinct lens of client centricity to help grow client relationships - by fostering cross sell across products and by enabling holistic account coverage across sales desks/regions.
  • The candidate should have an understanding of the financial services industry, with prior experience in roles focused on client strategy/ client analytics/ business development.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Build client account plans and drive client focused discussions with regional sales teams across Fixed Income and Equities.
  • Recognise opportunities to grow/deepen Nomura’s market share within product/s and prepare customized pitch books to market the franchise’ offering.
  • Analyse broker-review performance pack and share key insights / action plan with senior stakeholders.
  • Map client-buying centres to ensure comprehensive coverage across products/geographies.
  • Conduct in depth prospect studies ahead of initiating client/product relationships.
  • Collaborate with external market benchmarking firms to analyse competitive positioning and achievable upside with Nomura’s strategic clients.
  • Collaborate with regional & global stakeholders to prepare client-briefing memos for C-Suite meetings.
  • Assist regional SRMs in new account setups, Onboarding and periodic business continuity processes. Work with Operations / Legal to coordinate onboarding of key clients and also signing trading documentation such as ISDAs / CDEAs etc.
  • Team management activities for existing team members
