The Operations Director will oversee the end-to-end operations of our manufacturing plant ensuring world-class production of polymer additives and masterbatch products.Key Responsibilities:Lead all plant operations including production maintenance engineering quality supply chain and EHS to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.Develop and implement strategies to optimize machine efficiency and maintain uninterrupted manufacturing with twin-screw extruders compounding lines mixers etc.Oversee production planning aligned with customer demand and business priorities to achieve maximum productivity.Maintain strict adherence to daily weekly and monthly production KPIs to measure performance.B. Quality Assurance Compliance:Ensure compliance with ISO standards ASTM and industry-specific quality norms relevant to polymer additives/masterbatch to guarantee product quality.Maintain product consistency and quality levels required for domestic and export markets through rigorous testing and inspection.Drive reduction of production defects customer complaints and batch rejections by implementing corrective actions.C. Safety Health Environment EHS:Enforce compliance with national environmental laws and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.Implement global EHS standards including hazard control waste management fire safety and incident investigation to minimize risks.Promote a safety-first culture across plant operations to foster a positive work environment.D. People Leadership Development:Lead mentor and develop cross-functional teams to build a high-performing organization.Drive a performance-driven culture with clear goals continuous training and professional development to enhance employee skills.Ensure effective manpower planning recruitment and retention to maintain a stable workforce.E. Engineering Maintenance:Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all plant equipment to minimize downtime.Manage plant upgrades new line installations capacity expansions and technology improvements to increase efficiency.Ensure optimal uptime of extruders feeders chillers packaging systems and utility equipment to meet production demands.F. Supply Chain Inventory Management:Oversee procurement vendor management inbound raw materials polymers pigments additives and outbound logistics to ensure smooth supply chain operations.Ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely availability of raw materials to support production schedules.Optimize inventory levels to reduce working capital without impacting production schedules.G. Cost Budget Management:Drive cost optimization initiatives across energy manpower wastage and logistics to reduce expenses.Prepare and monitor annual plant budgets to ensure financial stability.Ensure achievement of plant profitability targets to sustain growth.H. Compliance Government Liaison:Ensure compliance with labour regulations factory act environmental permissions and state regulations to avoid penalties.Liaise with local authorities statutory bodies and industrial development authorities to navigate regulatory requirements.I. Strategic Planning Continuous Improvement:Lead continuous improvement programs Lean Kaizen Six Sigma to enhance process efficiency.Support new product development NPD and trials to drive innovation.Drive automation digitalization and process modernization initiatives to stay ahead in the industry.
