As we expand our presence in the hardware solutions market, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Channel Sales Head to drive growth and sales performance for our castor wheel and mobility product lines.
Job Overview:
As the Channel Sales Head, you will be responsible for developing and executing the channel sales strategy to drive the sales and growth of Comfort Castors' hardware solutions, including castor wheels and mobility products. You will focus on managing and expanding the distribution network, building strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and OEM partners, and overseeing sales performance across key regions. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and deep knowledge of the hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive growth and market share for Comfort Castors’ hardware solutions.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners (dealers, distributors, retailers) across key regions in India.
- Establish and manage relationships with dealers and distributors, ensuring alignment of sales targets, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Channel Partner Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key channel partners to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Offer consistent product training and sales support to ensure partners are equipped to sell and support the hardware product range effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate partner performance, ensuring adherence to sales targets, quality standards, and Comfort Castors' brand guidelines.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Take ownership of sales performance across all assigned territories, ensuring consistent growth in castor wheel sales and related hardware products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement sales programs, promotions, and incentives that drive sales growth.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of regional market dynamics and consumer preferences to tailor sales approaches and maximize impact.
Team Leadership and Support:
- Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers and channel sales executives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture through coaching, performance management, and regular feedback.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product teams to achieve business objectives.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Conduct market research to gather insights on competitor activity, industry trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Monitor channel sales performance through regular reporting, identifying areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
- Provide senior management with comprehensive reports on channel performance, sales trends, forecasts, and market opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment in go-to-market strategies, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to channel partners.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure the hardware offerings meet market needs and customer demands.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in channel sales, with at least 5 years in the hardware industry, preferably in products like mobility solutions, castor wheels, automotive components, or related industrial products.
- Proven track record in managing and expanding channel networks, especially with OEMs, distributors, and dealers in the hardware or industrial sectors.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of the hardware market, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with channel partners.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute plans to drive sales and achieve business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results through others.
- Analytical ability to assess market conditions, sales data, and trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and other sales tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Travel:
- Willingness to travel extensively across regions to meet with channel partners and oversee sales operations.
