Define the company's 'bar' for talent and ensure remote onboarding makes new hires feel connected from Day 1.Remote culture architecture: Create rituals, communication guidelines, and events that bridge time zones and prevent isolation in a remote environment.Wellbeing: Managing stress & burnout (Critical Focus)Proactive detection: Implement 'early warning systems' to spot signs of burnout before they become crises.Professional handling: Design workflows for handling mental health conversations, ensuring legal compliance and genuine support without overstepping boundaries.Sustainable pace: Work with leadership to audit workloads and push back on unrealistic deadlines if they threaten the team's long-term health.The 'right to disconnect': Champion asynchronous work practices respecting time zones and allowing deep work without instant responsiveness.People, conflict & mediationConflict resolution: Act as a fair, empathetic, and decisive mediator, handling interpersonal conflicts with high emotional intelligence.Psychological safety: Foster an environment where distinct voices are heard. Train managers on giving difficult feedback remotely without eroding trust.
