Purpose:

The jobholder will have the responsibility of developing strategy to manage fixed Income portfolios in line with regulations and the internal mandates. The jobholder will be responsible for managing portfolios with an objective of outperforming the benchmarks while ensuring safety of investments.

Main responsibilities:

Develop strategy to manage fixed income portfolios (existing as well as new funds) keeping the liquidity, credit and interest rate risks in mind and in line with the ALM requirements.
Strict adherence to the regulatory norms pertaining to investments and Strategic Asset Allocation mandates.
Keep scanning the market for identifying investment ideas.
Support Sales in communicating investment philosophy to our customers

Qualifications:

An educational qualification like MBA,CFA,CA, graduation/post-graduation in economics.

Skills/ knowledge:
Strong analytical skills to evaluate investment proposals
Should have sound knowledge of accounting concepts as well as fund management techniques and principles
Fair understanding of the fixed income market and the market forces
Strong negotiating and influencing skills

Experience:

At least 5 - 10 years relevant experience as a fund manager preferably with Insurance companies/Mutual Funds/other large fund management institution/ large corporate houses
