Department Description:

The Business Management team within the Global Markets division of Jefferies is a highly analytical and process driven team and provides direct support to the senior management team and business leaders across the Equity and Fixed Income Division.

The role is within the Mumbai Fixed Income Business Management. The candidate will report into the Global Fixed Income COO Team and assist across multiple functions supporting Fixed Income products including High Yield Corporates, High Grade Corporates, Interest Rates, FX, Emerging Markets, Municipals, and Mortgages. This position affords the candidate the opportunity to interact closely with a wide array of disciplines within the Firm and to make a direct contribution in the Firm’s client management efforts

Roles and Responsibilities:

Main areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

Senior Management Reporting & Analytics: Client Revenue Reporting: Pivotal point of contact for Global Sales Analytics reports which involves partnering with senior management and understanding their data requirements for business analysis Work with the COO Team to analyze and monitor developing trends and create reporting across various metrics. In conjunction with Sales, Trading, and Infrastructure teams, support various Fixed Income business Client Management efforts, particularly focused on sales and cross-product initiatives. Collaborate with business groups to prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business summaries for the management committee, including year-end business plans and budgets. E Trading Sales Support: Conceptualize and produce Monthly/Quarterly Scorecards on Electronic Trading performance of various business pods. Updating pitchbooks on E Trading capabilities Track metrics and KPI’s such as Market Share, Hit Ratio, etc. for focused clients / product gaps. Daily Sales & Client Management: Monitor daily production and trades for reasonableness and data quality of sales credits. Manage daily sales credit processes including amendment requests and journals. Manage day to day research management processes, client queries and relationship management. Data Quality: Analyze data sets to help identify potential challenges and conceptualize solutions to streamline operations. Help improve and manage our data quality processes across our CRM (client relationship management) platform. Project Management: Lead various Business Intelligence and Analytics reporting projects in conjunction with the IT team. Day-to-day process enhancements. Improvements and automation to promote efficiency in the business operations. Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems. Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.

Other areas of focus may include:

Liaise with and support senior management and sales & trading teams on ad-hoc business inquiries Collaborate with others across the organization on daily processes, inquiries, or initiatives Mentor Juniors in the team and participate in knowledge exchange and training initiatives Exposure to Jefferies proprietary data analytics tools and vendor integrated tools like Cognos, Power BI, Qlik, Power Automate

The role requires an assertive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are a must. Candidates must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines. Ad hoc projects are common and necessitate flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly.

Key Skills:

+ years of work experience in the financial industry preferably in business management / client strategy roles  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance preferable. Expert with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications is required.  Excellent communication skills. Keen attention to detail. A confident communicator: able to face off with heads of sales desks and senior management, explaining facts clearly, communicates confidently and effectively across teams Showcase a knack of automation of reports on excel and build efficiency in the system Understanding of various CRM tools, systems and processes and drive various projects in the CRM space Keen attention to detail; highly organized, energetic, and enthusiastic, and able to handle confidential information Proven ability to manage projects and user testing. Ability to work independently, multi – task, organize time and produce results. Sound understanding of Business & Client Management.
