Job Description: Business Development Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at an education financing organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and ensuring smooth operations for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Relationship Building
  • Identify and build relationships with potential partners, clients, and institutions in the education financing space.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing stakeholders to foster loyalty and long-term engagement.
  • Market Research and Analysis
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform business strategies.
  • Lead Generation
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, expand market reach, and increase revenue.
  • Conduct presentations and meetings with potential partners to showcase offerings.
  • Managing Schedules
  • Manage and organize calendars, appointments, and meetings for the business development team.
  • Ensure all client and partner interactions are scheduled and conducted on time.
  • Handling Communications
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for business inquiries, handling calls, emails, and other communications.
  • Screen and filter requests, assess urgency, and facilitate communication with internal teams or external stakeholders.
  • Document Preparation
  • Prepare and edit proposals, presentations, contracts, and reports for business development purposes.
  • Collect data from various stakeholders to prepare comprehensive reports and action plans.
  • Researching and Organizing Data
  • Conduct research and organize data to support decision-making processes in business development initiatives.
  • Maintain a repository of market insights, leads, and partner details for easy reference.
  • Meeting Coordination
  • Record, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Ensure follow-ups on action items and deliverables discussed during meetings.
  • Maintaining Records
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, agreements, and communications in the CRM.
  • Ensure all documents and records comply with company policies and are easily retrievable.
  • Collaboration Across Teams
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure client and partner needs are met effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, or a similar role, preferably in the education financing or financial services sector.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
