Advanced Security Solutions Engineer

Job Overview:The advanced security solutions engineer plays a vital role in securing infrastructure by designing and implementing cutting-edge security measures.Key Responsibilities:Integrate devices and log sources with the SIEM platform to enhance threat detection capabilities.Connect assets with ITSM solutions and configure incident response workflows within SIEM for efficient issue resolution.Develop and refine SIEM rules, create new use cases, and optimize existing ones to improve security posture.Identify emerging cybersecurity trends and attack techniques through investigations, threat intelligence feeds, and open-source intelligence.Implement and operationalize newly developed rules for effective threat detection, ensuring timely incident response.Integrate incremental threat intelligence feeds into the platform to stay ahead of potential threats.Test and deploy validated configurations into production, maintaining high levels of security and efficiency.Design and enhance incident response playbooks as required to ensure seamless communication and collaboration among stakeholders.Requirements:Proficiency in configuring, managing, and optimizing Google Chronicle SIEM, demonstrating expertise in its usage and customization.Strong working knowledge of advanced endpoint detection and response tools such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and similar solutions.SIEM Rule Development: Proficiency in creating detection logic, correlation rules, and custom use cases to drive informed decision-making.Threat Intelligence: Experience integrating threat feeds and leveraging threat intelligence for proactive detection and mitigation strategies.Incident Response: Familiarity with IR workflows, playbook development, and automation to streamline incident management.Scripting & Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and integration tasks, enhancing overall efficiency.Security Frameworks: Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and other cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry standards.Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of transparency and cooperation.Hands-on experience in one or more computer languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java, C/C++) to support cyber threat detection or reporting.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 5 years of professional experience in platform engineering SIEM & SOAR deployment, management, use cases development, content engineering, and threat intel.Certifications like CISSP, OSCP, SIEM, CEH, CCNA Security, CHFI, CompTIA Security + etc. are highly desirable.
