Cyber Security SpecialistThe role of a Cyber Security Specialist is to develop and implement robust security measures that safeguard an organization's computer systems, applications, and data from potential threats.Key Responsibilities:Security Framework Development & Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage advanced cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection solutions, and security information and event management tools.Threat Intelligence & Incident Response: Continuously monitor security alerts and logs to detect suspicious activities, investigate security incidents, and lead response efforts to minimize the impact on business operations.Vulnerability Assessment & Remediation: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential risks, work with IT/engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure the overall security posture of the organization.Policies, Compliance & Governance: Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS), and conduct regular security awareness training for employees.Identity & Access Management: Manage identity access management tools and enforce least-privilege access controls, oversee multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and privileged access management solutions.Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to maintain secure environments, prepare detailed security reports, incident summaries, and audit documentation, participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives.
