Procurement and Inventory Management SpecialistWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced procurement specialist to oversee our purchasing activities related to laboratory reagents, consumables, kits, equipment, and administrative supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills, as well as the ability to manage inventory levels and implement procurement strategies focused on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, onboard vendors for lab reagents, consumables, kits, equipments, & office supplies.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, discounts, and delivery timelines to ensure optimal procurement value.Manage and nurture vendor relationships; resolve supply issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns.Implement procurement strategies focused on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Generate accurate and timely Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain procurement documentation.Qualifications:The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or any related field. A Master's degree or other professional certifications such as C.P.M., CPSM will be an added advantage but not mandatory. At least 3 years of purchasing experience, ideally in molecular diagnostics, pathology labs, pharma, or healthcare research settings is required. Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and finance workflows related to purchase & sales is necessary. Working knowledge of Tally/SAP & other accounting ERP software tools is also desired.Requirements:Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.Good working proficiency in procurement and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.High level of accuracy, integrity, and reliability.Industry: Biotechnology, ResearchEmployment Type: Full-time at Chennai
