Job Summary:
The applications engineer is the main point of contact within the company for customers seeking product support and sales assistance. Serving as both salesperson and technical expert, the applications engineer provides comprehensive assistance and expertise in product applications.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Be first respondor to all incoming enquiries for technical support and sales. Follow a “Consultative Sales” approach.
- Responsible for providing technical support using various application engineering tools and other technical solutions either virtually or by visiting customers based on situations.
- Take ownership of the entire sales process from investigation till closing of deals to deliver of material at customer location.
- Continually learn about, and keep up with, new Alicat products, services & applications to enhance the customer experience.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in all departments, providing assistance and facilitating information exchange.
- Responsible for accurate order entry, order processing, and following of the order through to fulfillment.
- Responsible for entering and updating customer files and ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded.
- Actively involve in sales & marketing related activities.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology; Master’s degree in science.
- 2-4 years of experience in applications engineering/technical sales/sales engineering.
- Technical skills with a basic understanding of technologies.
- Travel frequency: 30-40%.
