Role Overview:
We are seeking dynamic and experienced leaders to grow our engineering teams, scale our development & release processes, and create world-class products.
Our platform is built on the Python Django / DRF framework along with MySQL/Redis and a bunch of other Amazon Web Services on the backend.The job requires the following:Hands-on experience in architecting and developing designing & scaling complex systems and available set-up with highly transactional, large relational and complex web based systemsStrong knowledge of design patterns and their applications.Good know-how of standard coding practices, quality and review guidelinesBuilding / Hiring high-performance software engineering teamsSolid understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement and thereafter streamline themExperience to present plans, updates, and risks to all stakeholders is a critical part of the role.Strong leadership and communication skillsExcellent knowledge on the latest technology trends and motivate the team for the same.Well versed in productivity and AI tools to increase productivity.A technologist at heart and is passionate about the latest technological developments.

What will You be Doing?Ownership - Must have traitProvide leadership, guidance, and support to engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a positive work environment.
Technology:Identify key system components, interfaces, and dependencies and prepare high level overview / documentationParticipate in designing scalable systems and provide inputs to handle scalability, data volume, concurrency and system bottlenecks.Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.Implement and maintain robust testing processes to ensure the reliability and scalability of the services and the applications.Work on bench-marking different technology options with underlying use cases to make the right architectural decisions.Perform intermittent code reviews to ensure high production code quality.Set up best practices for development and champion their adoption.Closely work with team to ensure timely, bug-free releasesCreate RCA documentation and prevent the issues in futureArrange for retrospective calls to discuss learnings from completed sprints
Management:Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand the product roadmap and plan the resources.Strong experience with Build and Release, Agile processes, and Estimation/PlanningSetup best practices and identify areas of continuous improvement of the product development life cycle.Should be able to manage the resources including creating POD charters for reutilizing the resources efficiently to improve the velocity and stability of the deliverables.Identify and mitigate risks in the deliverables.Managing the engineering team and taking care of their performance evaluations.Perform regular 1:1 meetings and share & seek feedbackWork on measures to optimize team productivity and engineers' professional developmentClear communication and 100% visibility of project status to all stakeholders
