Role & responsibilities
Develop civil designs for solar power projects, including site layouts, grading plans, foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and other related infrastructure.
Use design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, etc.) to create detailed drawings and plans.
Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal site layouts and configurations.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.
Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical input on civil design aspects.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to specify and procure materials and equipment.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local building codes, environmental regulations).
Prepare and submit permit applications and other documentation required for project approval.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to ensure designs are current and compliant.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design- related issues or modifications.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions, verify installations, and ensure design compliance.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in civil design engineering, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) and other engineering tools.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, and infrastructure design.
