Position: Business Development Manager - Design & Sales
Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) - Design & Sales will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and enhancing the brand’s market presence. The BDM will combine their expertise in interior design with a strategic sales approach, identifying opportunities to expand the Altairo brand across both residential and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Client Management:
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to grow partnerships within the architectural and design sector.
Identify and approach key clients, architects, and design firms to introduce our product range.
Serve as the main point of contact for architectural clients, providing expert guidance on products, design solutions, and project support.
Managing Sales & Design team in co-ordination with Sales Operations
Monitoring market and competitor products and activities, thereby providing detailed sales forecasting
Managing Sales and Designing 12-15 projects month on month basis through a team
Relationship Building and Networking:
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, specifiers, and design professionals to increase brand visibility and influence specifications.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote the brand and establish new connections.
Product Expertise and Presentation:
Conduct product presentations, showroom tours for architects and designers to showcase the Italian craftsmanship and features of our furniture lines.
Stay up-to-date with design trends and market developments to position our products as solutions for contemporary architectural projects.
Project Management and Support:
Collaborate with internal teams on project specifications, proposals, and quotes.
Manage client projects from lead generation through closing, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service.
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify potential opportunities and challenges within the architecture and design community.
Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams on trends, client preferences, and product opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales within the furniture, luxury goods, or related industry.
Strong network within the architectural and interior design community.
Passion for Italian design, craftsmanship, and contemporary furniture trends.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and attend events as required.
