Position Title: Project Manager (Civil Engineering)


Department: Projects

Reporting To: General Manager

Job Location: Mumbai (South Mumbai)


Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Work Experience: Above 15 years in Real Estate.


Role and Responsibility:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining key milestones, timelines, and resources based on in line with Baseline schedule of planning dept.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.


2. Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Track project expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgetary guidelines.
  • Liaise with the finance team for vendor payments and cost reporting.


3. Team Management:

  • Lead a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure performance align with project goals.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing technical guidance and support.


4. Vendor and Contractor Coordination:

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained by conducting regular site inspections.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues between contractors and consultants.


5. Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all work complies with Quality/safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Monitor and report on the compliance of environmental, health, and safety regulations on-site.


6. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate site visits and meetings with clients and stakeholders.


7. Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet company standards.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues on-site.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor progress and quality.


8. Timeline Management:

  • Ensure the project stays on track by closely monitoring project schedules and milestones.
  • Identify potential delays and implement strategies to mitigate any time overruns.
  • Adjust project timelines and resources as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or unforeseen challenges.


9. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, plans, permits, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports for senior management and clients.
  • Ensure proper handover documentation is completed at the end of the project.


Requirements:

  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD latest version, excel.
  • Leadership assumes overall accountability and responsibility.
  • Team player, adaptive to cultural differences, ability to motivate a cross-functional team to strive for a common target (and to implement it).
