Sr Engineer Tooling Lead Fostering Quality in Development Job Description Responsibilities/: Conceptualization & Detailed Design/: Using cutting/-edge 3D CAD software, oversee the design and development of intricate manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and progressive dies. Details/: Make precise and comprehensive engineering drawings, Bill of Materials BOMs for procurement and production, and thorough component specifications. Tool Procurement/: Provide technical supervision throughout tool production, inspection, and delivery in close collaboration with procurement and outside tool shops. Process Interfacing/: Work together with Manufacturing Engineers to make sure tool designs are optimal for manufacturing process stability and machine capabilities. Standardization/: To guarantee uniformity and modularity in all new tool designs, create and implement internal tooling standards, design guidelines, and best practices. Soft Skills/: Excellent analytical, systematic thinking, and complex problem/-solving abilities. Strong project management skills for overseeing the entire tool development lifecycle. Effective communication for interfacing with vendors, tool makers, and cross/-functional teams.
