This role is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team. As the crucial link between stakeholders and our engineering teams, the Product Owner will define the product vision, own and manage the product backlog, and ensure that the team's work aligns with our overall business strategy and customer needs. Responsibilities - Product Backlog Management: Own, maintain, and prioritize the team's product backlog, including the creation of clear and concise epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the engineering team. - Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define the product vision and roadmap; effectively communicate this vision to the development team to ensure alignment and shared purpose. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, gathering requirements, managing expectations, and ensuring a continuous feedback loop. - Sprint Planning & Execution: Lead backlog refinement sessions and play a key role in sprint planning meetings to ensure the team has a well-defined set of priorities. Be available to the team to answer questions and provide clarification throughout the sprint. - Value Delivery & Acceptance: Inspect and evaluate product progress through each iteration, accepting completed user stories to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria and deliver tangible value. - Market & User Insight: Develop a deep understanding of the customer, market trends, and competitive landscape to make informed decisions about product priorities and features. Qualifications - Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Management role within an Agile environment. - Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of Digital Commerce concepts, including B2B, B2C, and B2B2C business models. - Core Competencies: - Expertise in writing clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria. - Exceptional ability to translate complex business needs and user feedback into a prioritized product backlog. - Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions about product features and priorities. - Knowledge of wireframe design principles and their role in defining user experiences. - Tools & Methodologies: - Deep, hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ceremonies. - Proficiency with product and project management tools such as AHA, JIRA, or Azure DevOps. - Working knowledge of design thinking and collaboration tools (e.g., Mural). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). - Soft Skills: - Communication: Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision. - Collaboration: A natural team player who excels at building consensus among diverse stakeholders. - Decision Making: Confidence in making and owning difficult prioritization decisions. - Leadership: Ability to guide and motivate a development team without direct authority. - Self-Starter: Works effectively with minimal direction and takes initiative. - Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
