Infrastructure Engineering Manager

Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Center Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of NOC engineers. NOC Manager responsibilities include managing staff, developing, and implementing processes, and ensuring compliance with performance standards and security requirements. Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the activities of the NOC team to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. - Monitor network performance and identify potential issues, proactively implementing solutions to prevent service disruptions. - Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for the NOC team. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, and Security, to resolve complex network issues and optimize network performance. - Providing regular reports on network performance, incidents, and other key metrics to management. - Analyzing network performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize network performance and availability. - Ability to handle the major outage calls and provide regular updates to management. Qualifications Education: - College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience. Experience - Typically requires 11-13 years of experience in network operations, with at least 5 years in a team lead role. - Highly self-motivated and directed. - Strong verbal and written communication. - Strong organizational skills. - Keen attention to detail. - Strong customer service orientation. - Strong understanding of networking technologies (protocols, hardware, software), security principles, and infrastructure management. - Familiarity with the following technologies Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN). - Familiarity with Cisco ACI, F5 Load balancers, Palo Alto, Zscaler. - Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow. Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Strong time and project management skills. - Familiarity with the following technologies Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN) - Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow.
