About Aladdin Data

Aladdin Data team is a part of BlackRock's Aladdin platform, which is a comprehensive investment and risk management system. The team is responsible for various aspects of data management and analytics delivery for our clients and BlackRock within the Aladdin ecosystem.

About The Analytics Stewardship Team

Analytics Stewardship team brings together the functional expertise and responsibilities within the Aladdin Data organization to ensure Aladdin's investment and risk analytics meets highest standard of quality and are delivered at scale. Analytics Stewards works along with Client Business, Product, Engineering, and broader Aladdin Data teams on design, improvement, development and deployment of new and existing analytics.

Leveraging financial market and analytics subject matter expertise, data science and engineering knowledge, and data governance principles, the team designs and supports Analytics Data solutions, which spans across quality management, change management, meta data management, incident/inquiry management and commercialization of analytics data assets.

Responsibilities

- Support the management and enhancement of analytics data assets within the Aladdin Data platform
- Assist in building data and analytics solutions tailored to client needs
- Collaborate with analytics experts to contribute to delivery pipelines, including change management and pattern recognition.
- Conduct technical analyses to understand client usage patterns and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help develop and maintain analytics governance workflows and change management processes.
- Build understanding of risk models across asset classes, securities & portfolios and other levers impacting the analytical outcomes
- Understand evolving model, tools, configurations to contribute to build out of scalable analytics solutions for governance suiting different client needs
- Understand the analytics derivations & chain end-to-end data/analytics production to pinpoint the governance gap & understand the change
- Resolve complex analytical enquiries with a keen understanding of analytics and models

Experience

Candidates must have a proven history of addressing challenging real-world issues in investment and risk management sectors. The individual will be required to utilize their advanced technical and quantitative abilities to build tech & AI based solution aimed at enhancing the analytics estate, scale & client experience

- 16 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a data analytics or data science role
- Exposure to investment and risk analytics, financial markets, and data engineering concepts
- Exposure to quantitative frameworks to build attribution frameworks, domain-driven scalable QC rules, pattern & anomaly detection algos etc.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools and basic understanding of customizing LLMs for financial applications
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with strong communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of model development lifecycle for specifications/requirements data and infrastructure planning, impact analysis, change management including client experience
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Skills & Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Strong quantitative and technical skills with the ability to design and implement solutions
- Fixed income, equities, portfolio analytics and finance knowledge, including an understanding of bond math and risk
- Exposure to interest rates & derivatives or credit products including private is a plus
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GenAI platforms (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI, Hugging Face)
- Basic understanding of data science and AI/ML techniques in financial domains.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the team
