Process & Environmental Engineering Specialist

1 JOB PURPOSE The Process Environmental Specialist will be responsible for providing expertise inputs related to the processing of minerals selection of the right material and processing pollution control equipment while designing the overall plant for our new contracts world-wide The specialist will leverage his knowledge of environmental studies material technology and metallurgy to optimize processes select appropriate materials and chemicals for mineral processing applications and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations 2 RESPONSIBILITIES xefx82xb7 Lead the design and equipment material selection for mineral processing waste recovery agglomeration and other plants in our portfolio incorporate necessary material safety pollution control equipment ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards xefx82xb7 Design pollution control systems for environmental compliance conducting environmental studies and soil analysis and preparing ESG Environmental Social Governance reports xefx82xb7 Select and optimize materials chemicals and binders for mineral processing applications with a focus on metal steel aluminum mineral processing beneficiation and agglomeration xefx82xb7 Ensure compliance with safety standards including chemical and fire safety regulations and conduct ISO 14001 environmental aspect and impact studies xefx82xb7 Implement energy management strategies to optimize energy usage and reduce environmental footprint in process plants xefx82xb7 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including project teams suppliers and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment of designs with project goals and regulatory requirements xefx82xb7 Stay updated on advancements in material technology metallurgy and environmental engineering continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation xefx82xb7 Establish quality testing labs and methods for testing quality of input and finished goods xefx82xb7 Establish pilot scale plants prototypes for carrying out simulation of waste recovery agglomeration processes and try out different material to optimize costs and improve efficiency xefx82xb7 Tie up with external laboratories and research institutes to test material carryout studies research time to time xefx82xb7 Design establish industrial waste treatment methods and facilities in our plants xefx82xb7 Provide support to the Regional teams in obtaining Environmental permits carry out studies and implementing actions to meet environmental norms related to our business xefx82xb7 Support the business in carrying out studies finding solutions for the deployment repurposing waste3 KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS xefx82xb7 Project Teams Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of designs with project requirements and timelines xefx82xb7 Suppliers Coordinate with suppliers to select and procure materials chemicals and equipment for process plants and pollution control systems xefx82xb7 Regulatory Agencies Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations 4 PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES COMPETENCIES Qualifications Experience xefx82xb7 Bachelor or Masters degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering xefx82xb7 Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and equipment selection for mineral processing beneficiation plants and pollution control systems Competencies xefx82xb7 Strong technical expertise in chemical and environmental engineering with a focus on process plant design and pollution control xefx82xb7 Strong Numerical ability and should be a commercial acumen xefx82xb7 Proficiency in environmental studies soil analysis Exposure to ESG reporting will be an advantage xefx82xb7 Knowledge of material technology metallurgy and chemical selection for mineral processing applications xefx82xb7 Familiarity with safety standards including chemical and fire safety regulations and ISO 14001 environmental management systems xefx82xb7 Experience in waste processing and treatment with a focus on recycling and reuse xefx82xb7 Ability to optimize processes select appropriate materials and chemicals and manage energy usage in process plants xefx82xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders xefx82xb7 Continuous learning orientation with a focus on staying updated on advancements in material technology metallurgy and environmental engineering Soft skills xefx82xb7 Good English knowledge -
