1 JOB PURPOSE The Civil Structural Specialist is responsible for providing specialized expertise in civil and structural engineering within the field of industrial construction with a focus on optimizing construction costs and ensuring structural integrity The incumbent will oversee structural integrity studies interpret soil studies design validate foundations structures He will ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations while staying updated on technological advances in the field 2 RESPONSIBILITIES xefx82xb7 Optimize construction costs through efficient Responsible for designing the Civil and Structural part of the new Projects rehabilitation of the existing structures as required xefx82xb7 Conduct Soil studies calculate Static and Dynamic loads from equipment to incorporate in new Civil and steel structure designs Carry out structural integrity tests in the existing sites time to time and plan rehabilitation measures xefx82xb7 design and construction methodologies leveraging lean engineering concepts xefx82xb7 Oversee the design and validation of modular and mobile structures ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations xefx82xb7 Collaborate with global teams to exchange knowledge share best practices and ensure consistency in design and construction standards xefx82xb7 Stay updated on technological advances in civil and structural engineering continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation xefx82xb7 Provide technical guidance and support to project teams consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery xefx82xb7 Conduct environmental studies and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives in construction projects xefx82xb7 Design modular structures to enhance flexibility ease of construction installation and mobility 3 KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS xefx82xb7 Project Teams Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise and guidance on civil and structural engineering aspects of industrial construction projects xefx82xb7 Consultants and Contractors Coordinate with external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with design standards safety regulations and environmental requirements xefx82xb7 Global Teams Interact with global teams to share knowledge best practices and technological advances in civil and structural engineering 4 PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES COMPETENCIES Qualifications Experience xefx82xb7 Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Civil Structural Engineering xefx82xb7 Minimum of 10 years of experience in Design Consulting or construction companies with a focus on industrial construction xefx82xb7 Exposure to Civil Structural designing related to metal mineral processing and material handling equipment is essential Competencies xefx82xb7 Strong technical expertise in civil and structural engineering with a focus on industrial construction xefx82xb7 Proficiency in structural integrity studies foundation design and optimization of construction costs xefx82xb7 Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations in construction xefx82xb7 Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with global teams xefx82xb7 Experience in designing static and mobile equipment structures considering dynamic loads xefx82xb7 Familiarity with lean engineering concepts and continuous improvement orientation xefx82xb7 Ability to interpret soil studies and conduct environmental studies xefx82xb7 Hunger for learning and staying updated on technological advances in the field Soft skills xefx82xb7 Good English knowledge - written and speaking communication skills xefx82xb7 Experience in Global organizations MNC will be preferred xefx82xb7 Systematic Process orientation documentation skills xefx82xb7 Should be able to conceive xefx82xb7 Strong in conceptualizing solution finding Unconventional thinking xefx82xb7 Should be able to work with multi-national multi-cultural teams xefx82xb7 Convincing ability manage conflicts listening skills xefx82xb7 Exposure to Environmental Engineering will be an added advantage 5 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS xefx82xb7 Should be willing to travel locally and overseas as required
