Mostly Events is a recruitment platform for the event, wedding, hospitality, decor, and photography industries in India. Recruiters can post job vacancies for various roles and connect with a specialized talent pool in these industries. Job seekers can publish their profiles, apply for part-time or full-time jobs, and internships across different cities in the event management and hospitality sectors.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Sales Executive located in Mumbai at Mostly Events.
You will work directly with the founder, participate in client meetings, build relationships across the industry, and play a key role in onboarding both clients and talent onto our platform. This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity for someone who loves the events space, understands local business dynamics, and wants to grow with a startup.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the event, wedding, or hospitality industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of event management and recruiting practices
- Customer service orientation
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Relationship Building:
- Accompany the founder for client meetings across Mumbai.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event companies, production houses, and wedding planners.
Freelancer & Talent Onboarding:
- Reach out to freelancers in the region and onboard them onto our app.
- Help them create complete profiles and explain the value of being on Mostly Events.
Sales & Outreach:
- Identify and approach potential business clients in the events ecosystem.
- Generate leads through field visits, networking, and local events.
- Follow up and maintain a pipeline using CRM tools.
Territory Ownership:
- Own the Mumbai territory – track market movements, competition, and partnership opportunities.
- Be the face of Mostly Events in the region.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with the founder and marketing team to align local activities with larger campaigns.
- Share weekly insights and reports from the ground.
What We're Looking For
- 0-3+ years of experience in field sales, business development, or partnerships – preferably in a startup, recruitment, events, or hospitality domain.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – someone who can talk to both a CEO and a freelancer with ease.
- Strong knowledge of Mumbai and comfort with local travel.
- Fluent in English and Hindi (Marathi is a plus).
- A genuine interest in the events and wedding space is a huge plus
