We are looking for an experienced and proactive Key Account Manager with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry to manage key client accounts, drive engagement, and oversee financial coordination. The role involves building long-term client relationships, ensuring timely billing and collections, and acting as a strategic liaison between clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of pharma industry dynamics, client servicing, and account management, with a focus on operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key pharma clients.
- Foster long-term partnerships to drive client satisfaction and business continuity.
Client Account Management & Payment Follow-ups
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned pharmaceutical clients.
- Coordinate with client SPOCs to ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding payments and resolve payment-related issues promptly.
Client Engagement & Visits
- Conduct regular client visits to strengthen engagement, gather feedback, and address concerns proactively.
- Ensure smooth coordination and communication between clients and internal teams.
Invoice & Billing Management
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices.
- Share invoices with clients, secure necessary acknowledgments, and follow up for payment clearance within agreed credit periods.
Monthly/Quarterly Billing Coordination
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and client teams to compile, review, and raise monthly and quarterly billing as per client requirements.
- Ensure transparency, accuracy, and timeliness in all financial documentation.
Cross Functional Teams Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, operations, and other service delivery teams to align on account performance, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Ensure any escalations or disputes are handled professionally and resolved efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- MBA or post-graduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Healthcare Management (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in key account management, client servicing, or business development within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and client operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in billing, invoicing, and payment follow-up processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and field visits.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
