Job Description

Job Title: Master Data Support & Maintenance Specialist

Experience Level: 4+ Years

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Master Data Support & Maintenance Specialist to manage and maintain master data across enterprise systems. This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards through rule configuration, validation, and operational support. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and IT teams to troubleshoot data issues, maintain documentation, and support ongoing data operations in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand application architecture, data flow, and integration points across systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and clarify data requirements.

Configure and maintain master data validation rules, ownership structures, and replication logic.

Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues.

Perform regular data maintenance, profiling, cleaning, and deduplication.

Enforce data governance policies, coding standards, and metadata guidelines.

Maintain configuration sheets, mapping documents, and data dictionaries.

Document processes and data flows for transparency and audit readiness.

Support Agile delivery processes including sprint planning and release coordination.

Assist in the setup and maintenance of MDM tools and frameworks.

Provide data-related support and guidance to business units and IT teams.

Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of master data standards.

Primary Skills & Tools:

Strong SQL scripting and database querying skills (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)

Experience with master data monitoring, troubleshooting, and validation

Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality principles

Exposure to Agile methodologies, SDLC, and CI/CD practices

Experience with rule-based configuration and validation logic

Familiarity with MDM tools and frameworks (e.g., Informatica MDM, Talend MDM)

Knowledge of data warehousing and enterprise data architecture

Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across business and technology

Comfortable working in a flexible, improvement-focused work culture
